Full Moon Rising

At day's end, I stepped into the dining room to close the blinds.  THIS is what I saw!  It is amazing to see this Full Moon rising over the Sandia Mountains.  I hope you enjoy seeing this as much as I did!  Wonders never cease in this big, beautiful world.

In regards to the pear photo below, I have made two pear desserts recently which I really enjoyed and of all people I think you would appreciate. First I made a pear cobbler. Cooked pears are so delicious. Then I made a pear and apple buckle. The buckle only used two pears and one apple so not a good way to use up fruit. Both were yummy and if you ever need a recipe to use up the pears let me know. Smile.

Gorgeous moon!

It being fall, I also made a pear dessert on Monday -- baked pears in butter, brown sugar and rum, with raisins... WOW! So simple, and yet so wonderful. Would also have been amazing with a golf ball-sized scoop of fresh vanilla bean ice cream, but we were happy nonetheless!

Thanks everyone, for sharing my enthusiasm for these simple things! They really are the best ones, the simple ones. I would love to have your pear recipe Diana - thank you. And when I make it, I will take Josh's suggestion...and add a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Also - when I looked out and saw that moon, I truly wanted each of you HERE to see it with me!
